AGE ASSURANCE

Where age assurance is actually enforced

Two markets have a named regulator, a published standard and a public enforcement record. This is what each one requires, what it penalises, and where the sources are so you can check us.

ShareRing Me

One question, asked once: are you over 18? Nothing else is requested.

The same check behind every market on this page. About 60 seconds the first time, and about 2 seconds after it.

WHAT IS NOT HERE

The markets we have left out, and why

The United States
The largest operator base anywhere and a settled constitutional position, but the number of states with a live requirement is reported as 25, 26 or 27 depending on the source and the date. We will publish it when we can date it.
The European Union
An enormous base, and a designated rail arriving before the sales cycle closes: the Commission’s own age-verification app and EUDI wallets. Any honest pitch there is “beside the wallet”, not “instead of it”.
South Korea
Total enforcement, and no room. Identity verification runs on a designated national rail that ShareRing does not replace. Enforcement without an open door is somebody else’s market.
The first question

Estimating an age and verifying one are different products.

One reads a face and returns a likelihood. The other reads a document once and returns a yes or a no. Both are legitimate and they answer different risk appetites, so the useful question is not which scores higher. It is what you are willing to be wrong about, and what you are willing to hold if you are.

One integration, priced per check

Age, KYC, AML and address from one workflow, from $0.45 a check: the first proof is about 45 cents and a returning proof is free. No monthly minimum and no lock-in. Prices are in Australian dollars.
