A reference implementation of best practice for digital entry across Southeast Asia: visa on arrival, eVisa processing, digital arrival cards and pre-registration, in one flow.
This is a reference implementation designed to illustrate a typical rollout and control set. It is not a report of a completed customer deployment.
Pre-arrival to border clearance, in three modules.
What it covers
Four entry types, one control set.
Entry regimes across the region differ in name and in sequence, but not much in what they actually require. This is the set of controls that covers all four, end to end.
Visa on arrival
Issued at the border rather than in advance, so the identity check has to complete in the queue.
eVisa processing
Applied for and decided before departure, against a verified identity rather than a scanned document.
Digital arrival card
The paper card, replaced. Prefilled from a credential the traveller already holds.
Pre-registration
Cleared before travel, so the border is a confirmation rather than an assessment.
Module A. Pre-arrival.
The traveller submits their application online before departure, against an identity that has already been verified rather than a folder of uploads waiting to be read.

Module B. Visa decisioning.
The authority reviews and approves applications, with the routine cases cleared automatically and the exceptions routed to a person rather than lost in the same queue.

Module C. Border clearance.
Fast-track entry at the immigration checkpoint: the traveller presents a code, the officer confirms a status that was decided days ago, and the stamp is issued digitally.

Three modules, one control set.
Pre-arrival, decisioning and border clearance are three sub-graphs of one workflow. The authority changes the branch conditions per nationality or per visa class without touching the surrounding integration.

The expensive screen runs only on the applications the first branch could not clear, which is what makes a national rollout affordable.
