Two school friends.
One idea.

Prove who you are, without giving yourself away.

Tim Bos and Rohan Le Page have known each other since high school and have worked side by side in different roles ever since.

In 2017 they founded ShareRing in Melbourne to fix one thing: proving who you are should never mean handing over everything about yourself. They still lead and own it today.

  1. How we got here

    Year 2017

    Founded in Melbourne

    Tim and Rohan, school friends who had worked together in different roles for years, founded ShareRing in Melbourne. The idea: one verified identity people could use across the sharing economy. They still lead and own it today.

  2. Year 2018

    An app and a blockchain of our own

    The ShareRing app let people borrow, share or rent goods and services, and we launched the test network of ShareLedger, our own blockchain.

    The original ShareRing app design: a map search for places to stay near Quai de Montebello, with cards to rent rooms, book rides and borrow camping gear.

  3. Year 2019

    First government use

    ShareLedger went live, and our identity technology was used in Thailand’s electronic Visa on Arrival system.

  4. Year 2020

    COVID changed everything

    In April we launched the ShareRing Shop in Melbourne’s Bayside: same-day delivery from more than 150 local retailers, by drivers verified with ShareRing ID. As borders began to reopen, we brought verified identity to travel, with Rakuten Travel bookers and a digital ID platform built with Tencent Cloud for Southeast Asia.

  5. Year 2022

    One identity, not one app

    ShareRing became a digital identity ecosystem: the ShareRing app, ShareRing ID and the ShareRing Vault, with ShareLedger upgraded for smart contracts.

  6. Year 2023

    Certified in the UK

    Certified under the UK’s Digital Identities and Attributes Trust Framework (DIATF).

    Sharing identity in ShareRing Me: an ID and a proof of address, chosen field by field, with Cancel and Send Data.

  7. Year 2024

    Listed on the UK government register

    Listed on the UK government’s register of certified digital identity services. At home, we were quoted in the national debate on Australia’s digital ID.

  8. Year 2025

    Joined a UK reusable digital ID network for financial services. Re-accredited under the UK DIATF, adding Right to Work.

    April 2025: selected for the Australian Government’s Age Assurance Technology Trial.

  9. Year 2026

    A new look and a clearer voice.

    A new brand, plainer words and a focus on the people we protect, arriving with ShareRing Me V3.

  10. 2026, continued

    From wallet to national infrastructure

    We took a 25% stake in Thailand’s Transformational, and with TKC launched Thailand’s first national trust infrastructure for verifiable credentials.

    Prompt Post, the digital document hub in Thailand Post’s app, on a phone: manage your digital documents, sign up, and the Digital Postbox and Auto Tracking services.

    Thailand Post’s Prompt Pass went live on it. In Australia, ShareRing Solutions launched for accountants, bookmakers and real estate agents, with Human Pass next.
