Rohan is Founder and Co-CEO of ShareRing, based in Melbourne. He leads the company’s strategy around privacy-preserving identity: letting a business confirm what it actually needs to confirm without ever taking custody of a customer’s documents. The model he argues for is reusable verifiable credentials that a person holds and presents themselves, rather than the document stores most verification vendors accumulate and then have to defend.

He drives ShareRing’s commercial expansion in Southeast Asia, including the company’s investment in Thai digital venture builder Transformational and the regulator and partner relationships behind it. He writes regularly on the structural causes of data breaches, on the cost of verifying the same person over and over, and on why age assurance needs to work differently from the way most of the industry has built it.
